When it comes to technology upgrades, we are usually driving the bandwagon.

Let me preface by saying that I really appreciate how Google is going to great lengths to try to revolutionize the way we run our digital lives. Also, I am aware that it is still in "beta". Having said that...

I think Google Chrome for Mac is a great first step. It is very speedy, and simple (which is what Google was going for). The webpages we design also seem to look great; no signs of quirky rebelliousness like Internet Explorer.

I think what made Firefox shine for me though was the plugins... which are still in infancy for Chrome. Tools like Firebug, Measure It, etc are vital in speedy website design and debugging. Chrome's "Developer Tools" do help you inspect CSS, however it feels pretty cumbersome to use. Firebug splits the browser so you can see what you're doing a little bit better.

Also the spell checking in Chrome seems inconsistant. In some cases, it will underline the typo in red and others it won't (or takes a few minutes to catch up).

While it is a great new tool for everyday browsing, I do feel that it is not quite there yet for me to make a full practical leap.  It does seem promising though, as things get refined and more plugins come along.
